Jackson County Habitat for Humanity celebrated Home Dedications in Commerce for two new partner families on April 20.
The event marked not only a milestone for the families receiving the homes but also for Habitat as they celebrated their 21st and 22nd home dedications in Jackson County. Representatives from the local city government, volunteers and community supporters attended the event.
“The dedication ceremony highlighted the power of coming together to make a positive difference in people’s lives,” organizers said. “The families, previously facing housing insecurity, were embraced with open arms as they were welcomed into their new homes, symbolizing hope and a fresh start.
“The celebration underscores the importance of sustainable housing initiatives and the profound impact they have on individuals, families, and the community at large. By providing stable and secure housing, Jackson County Habitat not only addresses a fundamental need but also fosters a sense of stability, belonging, and empowerment to homeowners which benefits the community at large.”
